Approach to understanding the problem and start drafting the solution – Tasks/Deliverables

  1. Identification stakeholders workload: effort and tech feasibility
  2. Info to be stored in Vials: what is important to end users
  3. Definition and Development of App – User Interface
  4. Backend implementation (architecture): Flask, mySQL and Apache
  5. Business Case: validation, use cases, cost, informatics, problem-soluion fit, impact.
  6. Final presentation, Video (sketch)
  7. Breach validation: verification of authenticity
  8. Visualization of breach: geolocation
  9. Attack vectors: counterfeiters’ perspective (challenges)
  10. Blockchain integration


Summary 17:00 hrs

  1. Integrate Vietname case with Vials Info and Apps – synch
  2. Vietname case shows potential to improve process by simplifying and automating information that is currently manually done
  3. The info that goes in the vial matches the requirements to detect counterfeit
  4. Big packaging: we do not care about the size
  5. Use of NFCs – not for now, keep dev of the solution with QR code
  6. Usage of QR codes at vial level
  7. User Interface: End User, Producer to register vial info, Checkpoints (considered the same) and tester
  8. User interface: so far we have scan screen, history screen, tutorial info from the ‘end user’s perspective’ other entities will be replicated and slightly modified.
  9. Business Case highlights roles and responsibilities of stakeholders – will be use to create use cases
  10. For the backend we have agreed to use: Flask, mySQL, Apache
